Saturday May 1st @ 11am, FREE

Residents of Cork County are invited to take part in a live online willow lantern making workshop with artist Caoimhe Dunn and learn techniques she also uses to create large scale lanterns, puppets and props for outdoor spectacles!
In this workshop participants will create a willow structure, learn how willow bends and changes with manipulation and soaking. After creating their own unique design bending and shaping the willow – participants will cover the lantern in wet strength tissue and add lights to complete their lantern.
Participants will have the opportunity to display their lanterns as part of the May Sunday Art Trail in Glenbower Wood.
Once you book a workshop, YOU WILL NEED TO COLLECT YOUR MATERIAL PACK AT GREYWOOD ARTS. Your pack will have all the materials required to create one lantern as well as instructions to prepare for the workshop.
For this workshop all you need is access to Zoom, a space to work in and somewhere to soak your willow before the workshop and maybe a cup of tea!
This workshop is ideal for a family group to create together.
