Studio Members

Meet our first four Coach House Creative Hub studio members!

Aoife Banville is a visual artist who specialises in large-scale, site-specific installations, primarily placed in natural environments. She works with varied (and often recycled) materials, interested in their materiality, form, and shape. Light is often an integral part of the work, and she will be expanding and developing her ongoing project ‘Mark-Making in Nature’, creating new light art installations.

Basil Al-Rawi is is an Irish-Iraqi multidisciplinary artist whose practice is concerned with the landscapes of memory, identity, politics, and mediated reality. He employs remediation, reconstruction, and participatory methods through photography, film, and digital technologies. He’s currently preparing new work for an upcoming show at the LAB Gallery in Dublin (Sept–Nov 2023).

Caroline Bowles is a recent graduate of Crawford College of Art and Design. Her background as an experienced practicioner of Chinese medicine, Zen meditation, and music training are all vital inspirations for her art making. She will be creating a new body of work for her upcoming exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art in Waterford, exploring visual expressions of the beauty of enacted truth in gesture, movement, and temporality.

Catherine McCue is an interdisciplinary artist who utilises the methods and mediums of the old masters. Inspired by the mythological world, she converts observational studies to paintings on canvas. She’s using the space and community at Greywood to develop her artistic voice through landscape and still life.
