The Studios

Greywood Arts is delighted to launch the Coach House Creative Hub in 2023, which includes two professional artist studio spaces, a community studio for art classes and a flexible event/exhibition space. Studio members will be part of a vibrant community that hosts classes, workshops, cultural events, festivals and artists-in-residence. The studio ethos is one of community, respect, support and connection – sharing skills, ideas and feedback with one another.

You’ll find information about availability, rates and how to apply below.

Spaces available:

  • Studio Arch (A) (€220/month) – 5m x 4m, solo use
  • Studio Bosca (B) (€200/month per person) – 5m x 5m, two workstations

Both studios have double doors, sinks and tables. They also have direct access to a back courtyard on the river side of the building. Studio members are welcome to relax in the walled garden.

  • Utilities and wifi included
  • Parking available on-site
  • 24/7 Access (quiet usage from 11pm – 9am)
  • Access to kitchenette

Studio members can participate in an annual exhibition in the Coach House. There are additional opportunities to participate in other Greywood Arts programming, such as the May Sunday Festival and Culture Night.

Studio members also receive discounted rental fees for the Community Studio and event space.

*If interested in a July 2023 start, please apply by midnight Friday June 23rd*

Applications for Studio Membership are now open and will be accepted on a rolling basis. As space is extremely limited, we will operate a waiting list.

You can apply for studio membership on a project basis OR for longer-term general practice development (3-6 months or 6+ months).

Criteria

Applicants must be professional artists. This typically means that:

  • Some or all of their income is derived from their artistic activities
  • They are recognised by their peers and arts organisations as such
  • They can be at any stage of their career from emerging to established

Submissions will be assessed for:

  • Quality of work and process
  • Suitability to the space
  • Impact of a studio space on the artist’s practice
  • Artist’s contribution to the membership community

It helps if you like animals! Greywood is home to dogs, cats, chickens and goats!

Submissions will be reviewed by a panel consisting of Greywood’s Artistic Director, a member of the Greywood Arts board, and an independent artistic practitioner.
