Culture Night 2024

MicroCultures Miniature Parade
Friday September 20th

Join Greywood Arts for a small but mighty parade of shoebox sized floats, each celebrating an aspect of contemporary Irish culture, reflecting the diversity of our community.

Come along for a fun filled romp down Main Street, culminating with music and the Mór Artist Collective exhibition in the Coach House at Greywood Arts.

MAKE A FLOAT & JOIN THE PARADE!

Workshop Saturday September 14th 11am – 1pm
Join Jaki Coffey to prepare a float for the Greywood Arts Microcultures Mini Parade.

Jaki will facilitate you in translating your version of culture to a shoebox size float. Create dioramas, houses, pitches, sheds etc  which reflect on what culture means to you.  We will also think of inventive ways to transport them through the village for the miniature parade on Culture Night.

Book individually or in your cultural groups e.g. knitters, book clubbers, music groups, gardener’s co-ops. Materials provided but feel free to bring specific items to complete your vision, if you wish! Workshop is free but pre-booking is essential.
